BASEBALL AGES – As per most recent available info (2022 Age Criteria):
Rally Cap – Up to 7 Years Old
7th birthday falls on or after January 1 of playing year
Rookie – 8 – 9 Years Old (2013 – 2014)
9th birthday falls on or after January 1st of playing year
11U – 10 – 11 Years Old (2011 – 2012)
11th birthday falls on or after January 1st of playing year
13U – 12 – 13 Years Old (2009 – 2010)
13th birthday falls on or after January 1st of playing year
15U – 14 – 15 Years Old (2007 – 2008)
15th birthday falls on or after January 1st of playing year

* 11U, 13U, 15U Girls have the option to play one year overage.

18U – 16 – 18 Years Old** (2004 – 2006)
18th birthday falls on or after January 1st of playing year

**Each ‘A’ and ‘AA’ team is eligible to have two (2) – 19 year old athletes on a team (born 2003). ‘AAA’ teams may have a maximum of four (4) 19 year old athletes per association, regardless of the number of teams.
Female athletes may not turn 22 or older in 2022 (recommended 2001-2003 birthdates) may play in the 18U boys division. 18U Girls ‘A’, ‘AA’, ‘AAA’ teams are eligible to have overage females athletes on a team with approval by the Baseball Alberta Registrar.

SOFTBALL AGES – To be eligible for the current season (per page 16 of 2023 Handbook):
U19 Boys & Girls – Under 19 PRIOR to Jan. 1st of the current year.
Born in 2004 or later.
U17 Boys & Girls – Under 17 PRIOR to Jan. 1st of the current year.
Born in 2006 or later.
U15 Boys & Girls – Under 15 PRIOR to Jan. 1st of the current year.
Born in 2008 or later.
U13 Boys & Girls – Under 13 PRIOR to Jan. 1st of the current year.
Born in 2010 or later.
U11 Boys & Girls – Under 11 PRIOR to Jan. 1st of the current year.
Born in 2012 or later.
